Who is PuroClean?
Founded in 2001, PuroClean is a leading damage remediation company that works on a franchise-based model. PuroClean franchise owners offer emergency restoration services for property damage caused by water, fire, mold, biohazards, and other disasters. They offer these services to homeowners, business owners, the insurance industry, and home service providers. Many of the offices also offer reconstruction and other related services.

The above publications have ranked PuroClean in the Top Franchises lists.
PuroClean has a comprehensive network of over 300 franchise offices across North America, which has grown in excess of 20% in the last two years alone. Each local PuroClean office is independently owned and operated. PuroClean technicians are thoroughly screened, insured, and trained in using the latest in mitigation technology and procedures. They also operate under a strict code of ethics.
Each year, PuroClean franchise owners perform thousands of jobs throughout the United States and Canada, providing restoration services and peace of mind for events ranging from common household mishaps to large-scale disasters.

A Company for People
We are not just a franchise company. With many years of experience, PuroClean has become one of the largest restoration franchises across North America. And we couldn’t have achieved that without our team of dedicated franchise owners. We provide training and support to make sure that each and every one of our franchise owners works with compassion, competence, and professionalism to become a hero in his or her community.
As a franchising company, we serve our franchise owners with dedication and respect. With experienced leadership and support teams at our headquarters in Tamarac, Florida, we provide the tools that our franchise owners need in order to be successful. From system and processes for marketing and training, to program work with major insurance companies, our franchise owners get all the right skills and support to grow their local business.
Ben Doebler of PuroClean Restoration Services in North Western Portland, Oregon, recalls the process of signing on: “During my time with President Steve White, and the rest of the team, I felt a real comfort with the vision and direction in which PuroClean was heading. So, we took the leap and decided to open an office in the Portland, OR market, and it has been full speed ahead ever since.”
Ben opened the doors to his business in 2015 with no previous experience in restoration. He followed our proven business model, took advantage of the wealth of resources, knowledge, and support that both the team in Tamarac and the neighboring franchise owners offered, and year after year has doubled his business, making it all the way to President’s Circle (top 10% of franchise owners) by year three.
And Ben is not alone in his success. Other franchise owners have found in PuroClean a model to build a successful, profitable, and meaningful business.
Honoring Our Franchise Owners
Each year, we organize the PuroClean Convention to honor and appreciate our franchise owners. The annual convention offers industry speakers and thought leaders, training sessions, and social events. It also serves as the perfect opportunity to highlight PuroClean franchise owners’ achievements. The awards honor both long-time and new franchise owners in seven categories. It also recognizes technicians for the Technician of the Year Award.
Aside from the annual convention, each fall, we host Regional Meetings that provide convenient opportunities for franchise owners to meet with the leadership and support teams, as well as with each other, and learn to grow together.

We
Training to a T
PuroClean’s training center, the PuroClean Academy, is a remarkable facility. It delivers the highest level of training in our industry in North America and beyond. The PuroClean Academy consists of a high-tech classroom with special features to facilitate both in-person and remote learning opportunities. It provides interactive webinars; live, interactive video presentations; and other hands-on learning opportunities for the most effective, specialized education.

The PuroClean Academy also includes a state-of-the-art Applied Structural Drying (ASD) facility that we affectionately call our “Flood House”. It is the focal point of real-life practical instruction. One of only 24 in the world, this is the premier ASD facility in the nation. It has the approval of the Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC), the restoration industry’s top standard-writing agency. The PuroClean Academy also allows all PuroClean franchise owners and their employees the opportunity to receive certifications from the IICRC. Overall, more than 1,200 PuroClean associates and insurance professionals have trained here since our introduction in 2011.
Three years ago, we expanded our training capabilities beyond the constraints of our facility by launching our Online Academy. Leveraging the power of technology, we have trained over 2,000 students and issued more than 7,600 online badges.
Moreover, our franchise network also offers Continuing Education (CE) classes; more than 36,500 industry experts have trained and received certifications in the past seven years.

Web Technology
Our franchise owners benefit from the latest web technology, with a wealth of resources at their fingertips. Our web presence operates on a network of interconnected websites. Each franchise owner manages a website that he/she can personalize and localize to his/her specific needs. A local website is critical in making your franchise business known in your community and attracting new clients.
Our network also benefits from our state-of-the-art Intranet, PuroDrive, a platform for communication and sharing of tools and knowledge.
Company Numbers
In only two years, PuroClean has sprinted up the hill over 130 spots from our previous ranking in 2018 at #287, and over 50 spots from just last year at #179 to a new ranking of 121 in Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500 standings. The prestigious list ranks the nation’s top franchise brands annually.
The key factors in Entrepreneur’s evaluation include costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. PuroClean predicts another strong showing on the 2019 Franchise 500 list.
Furthermore, an integral part of PuroClean’s growing franchise success is our positive relationships with many of the country’s biggest insurance providers.
“Large insurance carriers continue to partner with us because of the high standards we have for every franchise owner across the country. We train each PuroClean franchise owner to work efficiently and professionally, and excellent customer service drives our success. Prospective franchise owners see that they can work on large national accounts, and it’s very appealing to them.”
Chairman and CEO Mark W. Davis
Since it was acquired by Mark Davis and Frank Torre in 2015, PuroClean has seen a steady unit growth of 33%. Overall revenue has also grown 82%, showing an increase in revenue for the individual franchise owners. A significant growth-driving factor has been the work generated through negotiated programs with major insurance carriers across the country. 22% of total revenue came from program work in 2019, creating a significant source of income for franchise owners.

Being financially secure as a PuroClean franchise owner is an easily achievable goal in the booming $210 billion restoration industry.
The PuroClean Difference
We believe that our people are the strongest differentiator: from our company culture to our training and support. But that is not all. We believe that the following features also set us apart from our competitors.
We hold our brand to the highest standards, helping us to stand head and shoulders above our competitors.
A strategic partnership with Signal Restoration Services makes it possible for our franchise owners to handle large-loss and commercial jobs that would normally be out of reach, such as in the case of natural disasters.
We employ systems and processes, such as our PuroMetrix software (restoration management system). This makes it easy for our franchise owners to follow a proven recipe, and focus on building meaningful relationships in the community they serve.
PuroClean has earned countless accolades for its innovation within franchising, including recognition for its PuroVet program, which puts military veterans into business ownership. Through our PuroVet program, we encourage and support military veterans to become entrepreneurs in their communities, in a career where they can continue to be the heroes they were destined to be.
An Unprecedented Challenge: Fighting Coronavirus on its Terms
Throughout the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic of 2020, our PuroClean staff, technicians and franchise owners have continued to show just what they’re made of. Armed with thorough and on-going training, EPA-registered products and state-of-the-art equipment, an endless supply of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and a driving desire to help those around them, our everyday heroes continue to go into the spaces that were exposed to COVID-19 to help clean up their communities and flatten the curve across America. In an article featured in our quarterly publication, the Heartbeat, we shared what our technicians think about the role they play in nationwide recovery efforts, from their perspective and in their words. We are so proud to call them part of our PuroClean Family!
Spreading the Word
Chairman & CEO Mark Davis and Vice Chairman Frank Torre, along with our Executive and Support Teams, place franchise owners as the top company’s priority. At all levels, we seek the best interests of our franchise owners in order to help them succeed. One of the ways we do this is through our public relations program in which we create opportunities to gain exposure for the brand and individual franchises and, subsequently, improve their revenue opportunities.
One example of this is the relationship Frank has built with Adam Helfman, host and owner of the national radio show, HireItDone, that broadcasts in 30 states. Adam is a known and valued expert in the home improvement industry. Resulting from this relationship, Steve White, President & COO, had the opportunity to appear on Hire It Done media to discuss our PuroVet program while taping his segment, as well as discussing our franchise program.
Adam also hosted six franchise owners for his video and radio segments, such as this video with franchise owner in Washington, MI, Steve Marceau. In it, Steve and Adam share guidelines for how homeowners can turn off the water supply in case of an emergency and provide tips on how to prepare and react for water and flood emergencies in the home. These opportunities have led to a large number of jobs for franchise owners in the Michigan area.
We continue to seek more opportunities to spread the word about PuroClean and our franchise owners.
A Perfect Franchise Opportunity for YOU
PuroClean is a fast-growing restoration franchise network that provides a wealth of unique opportunities for new franchise owners. Those who join our ranks benefit from stellar support from the experience and leadership of our management team. We are committed to your success. We work with our franchise owners every step of the way. Our goal is to help them grow a valuable, meaningful, and rewarding business in their community.
For those looking to make an impact in their local community, like so many of our franchise owners do, take it from Derek and Sarah Addison of PuroClean in Northeast Georgia. They now own three locations. Compared to general contracting, “I like the fact that we’re helping people with a need,” said Derek. “Working with them is a lot different from working with people who have a want. They’re customers just the same, but it seems that the customers are much more appreciative of you.”
Like Ben Doebler, Derek and Sarah Addison are also members of President’s Circle. “The real lesson of the day,” Derek said, “is that doing the right thing and treating people well actually pays off. Sometimes one is a little harder than another, but it’s still the only way to go.”
