Our Story

U.L. Armstrong retired from the U.S. Army after 33.5 years of service. He and his family have learned to enjoy the beauty in each location assignment. From the changing seasons in Virginia to the majestic views of Mt. Rainier in Washington State, and the ease of travel and beautiful landscapes in Europe, the Armstrongs have seen it all. However, U.L. says, “Our travels with the Army have taken us all over the world. Yet, when we arrived in Boerne it held a warm spot of comfort, happy faces, and immeasurable potential for professional and personal growth…The beauty of Boerne within the Texas Hill Country is as awesome as the friendly faces. The family-friendly community…fosters an easy ability to relax, stroll, shop down Boerne’s Hill Country Mile or walk down River Road Park. It’s in this spirit that my family and I found that Boerne was our home and our place to serve.”

In Boerne and the surrounding areas, excessive rainfall, flash flooding, hail, accidental water leaks, and tornadoes can cause extensive damage to local homes and businesses. U.L. is ready to assist his neighbors and continue to serve on a local level. He says, “PuroClean provides me with an opportunity as a civilian to continue to provide sincere and selfless support to my community.”

U.L. also says that his sister and her husband lost all their personal belongings to an apartment fire. They arrived home after the fire had destroyed the apartment complex. He recalls how helpless they felt, “My sister was devastated by her tangible and intangible losses. The loss was not only a mental strain but…the financial uncertainty was significant because they were left with trying to find answers to their recovery in the midst of so much uncertainty.”

As owner of PuroClean of Boerne, U.L. recognizes that no matter the cause of damage, “there is a common thread between the devastation and loss…those families…require support in their times of need so that they can navigate through their uncertain unfortunate times….as a PuroClean owner, it’s my duty to ensure that I provide the necessary support and service to those families to help in some way to ease their unfortunate circumstance. If I cannot provide the service, then I will assist the family with getting the appropriate referral or answer.” U.L. hopes to assist families  and businesses walk through difficult times, becoming mentally and financially whole on the other side.
