Puroclean Disaster Response is ready to help clean and sanitize to help minimize the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Our people are all properly trained in the use of personal protective equipment so they can ensure their own safety while working. Our teams are also trained and very experienced with the proper techniques in using these disinfectants

Because COVID-19 is new and novel, at this time no government-registered disinfectant products have been tested against this strain and no product labels have existing kill claims. Some good news however is that Coronaviruses such as COVID-19 are enveloped viruses, meaning they are one of the easiest viruses to kill with the appropriate disinfectant product.

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and CDC state that if an antimicrobial product can kill a small, non-enveloped virus it should be able to kill any enveloped virus.

Fortunately, many of the products we regularly use such as Benefect fit this profile and we have them in stock (for now).

The CDC recommends routine cleaning and disinfection procedures (e.g., using cleaners and water to pre-clean surfaces prior to applying an EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectant to frequently touched surfaces or objects for appropriate contact times as indicated on the product’s label) are appropriate for COVID-19 in healthcare settings.
