16 Floors of Commercial Water Damage Caused by Hotel Water Main Break

The water main break occurred on January 13, 2022, decidedly putting a damper on the start of the new year: an estimated $30,000 in water loss kind of damper. We knew how important it was to get started on the water mitigation quickly to avoid worse damage. We arrived the same day we received the call to complete the inspection, and we started work right away. Damage from the water main break made the elevator inoperable, but that didn’t stop our crew. Our amazing technicians carried the extractors all the way to the 16th floor and we worked our way down from there.

Our crew worked tirelessly until 2am the next morning to extract the water from the building and set up the air movers. It took less than a week for all of the floors to completely dry. We thoroughly inspected all of the affected areas to ensure that no moisture remained that could potentially cause mold growth.

Project Manager Miguel Torres did a fantastic job leading the crew to complete the water mitigation. We brought in some of our other local crews for some extra help because of the elevator issue. Everyone did a wonderful job coming together as a team to get the job done for our client. The hotel was not happy with the commercial water damage they experienced, but they were more than satisfied with our quick response and superior workmanship.
