“Coronavirus” is an umbrella term for many types of viruses that have been known to cause respiratory diseases in both people and animals. The 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19; previously 2019-nCoV) is a new strain that has been recently discovered and publicized worldwide. PuroClean Professional Restoration uses the PuroClean RapidDefense™ system to provide deep mitigation cleaning in areas compromised by a Coronavirus or Influenza outbreak. Using this process, the team at PuroClean Professional Restoration will carefully contain the area and will minimize the risk of pathogens spreading using The Environmental Protection Agency-registered (EPA) products. If there are any lingering odors, our trained technicians will deodorize the area and return your Everett, WA area property back to its pre-loss condition with empathy and care.
Since the coronavirus pandemic keeps growing rapidly, health and government leaders are publicly addressing the world daily, asking that all people practice the safe means necessary to protect themselves. A very effective practice to slow the virus from spreading is by the performance of deep mitigation cleaning of all touch-point surfaces, along with using EPA-registered disinfectants. These particular cleaning procedures can be used for institutions, commercial, and residential properties. PuroClean’s Everett coronavirus cleaning services can help drastically reduce contamination related to the COVID-19 outbreak. Call your local PuroClean professionals for more information on our various cleaning and restoration services.
The virus is thought to spread mainly from person-to-person. This includes individuals who are close to one another (within about 6 feet) and through respiratory droplets becoming airborne when an infected person coughs or sneezes. The droplets then can land in the mouths or noses of those who are nearby or possibly be breathed into the lungs.
It may be possible for someone to get the COVID-19 virus after touching an area with the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or eyes. The CDC confirms the possibility of the disease being spread in this manner.
PuroClean will initially conduct a complete assessment of your home or office. PuroClean will then make a determination on the level of containment required and speak to you about the plan of action.
When we arrive at your home or business we’ll do a walkthrough to confirm the area is ready for PuroClean’s cleaning services. We will plan the flow of work and perform the tasks as efficiently as possible.
It’s imperative that our employees conduct all biohazard removal with maximum caution and a strict adherence to OSHA, Industry and safety standards. Our technicians will contain areas, practicing all appropriate steps to ensure your safety, your family’s safety and the employees safe work as well. The highly trained technicians will use special Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to conduct biohazard removal as carefully as possible.
First, wearing proper PPE is a requirement. Puroclean technicians wear a full-face respirator to protect them against splashes coming in contact with the mucous membranes of the mouth, nose, or eyes. PuroClean professionals also wear Biohazard protective coveralls, shoe covers, and Nitrile gloves.
Special towelettes are used that also conform to OSHA’s bloodborne pathogen standard to fight diseases like the coronavirus and other diseases, bacteria, mold, mildew, tuberculosis, and viruses. These and other cleaning supplies put to use by our industry certified professionals are all hospital grade and EPA-registered disinfectants.
The most common cleaning materials used by PuroClean professionals include:
Puroclean uses three methods when using these disinfectants. Depending on the circumstances, our workers apply hospital grade, EPA-registered disinfectants in one of these three ways:
Synthetic rugs, carpets, curtains and upholstery: Our Technicians will clean these items by hand or by machine cleaning. Appropriate disinfectants for the appropriate cleaning of the textiles and carpet will be applied for the cleaning; spot removal will be done where needed.
Natural fabrics, rugs, curtains, and upholstery should be cleaned in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
For the disinfectant of clothing, linens and other personal fabrics, the affected articles should be laundered per label instructions. NOTE: washing machines should be thoroughly cleaned after washing contaminated materials.
Tanned leather materials – PuroClean will clean these material items by wiping the surfaces with a lightly moistened towel and disinfectant sprays or disinfectant towelettes.
Suede and Nu-buck leather material – Cleaned following the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Concrete, cinder block, wood, plywood, and oriented strand board (OSB) – Cleaned by applying the disinfectant solution directly onto the surface.
HVAC system – External ductwork surfaces, grills, grates, and registers shall be cleaned with a disinfectant solution. The interior surfaces of HVAC ductwork and components need to be cleaned in accordance with industry guidelines by a licensed HVAC contractor or NADCA certified duct cleaner.
Normally, when the affected area has been cleaned and starts to dry, the odors go away. Our trained professionals will decide, however, whether any more deodorization is required.
We understand that a biohazard event can be stressful and sensitive and must be handled with empathy, care and discretion. PuroClean restoration professionals are fully licensed and certified to follow all applicable laws and standards to remediate incidents safely.
RESPECTFUL: Our certified biohazard cleaning technicians treat every affected area and item professionally and respectfully, as if it were their own.
HIGHEST STANDARDS: PuroClean uses proven products approved to provide protection, prevent contamination and reduce the risk of spreading dangerous pathogens.
ADVANCED CLEANING SYSTEM: PuroClean RapidDefense is an innovative procedure that is used to start the disinfection process of public places the most effective and safe way possible. Our system uses disinfectants that help prevent virus and other pathogen-based contamination in areas nearby.
Prior to vacating a project location in which the coronavirus had affected, the PuroClean technicians will perform a full and complete cleansing of all equipment, tools, and PPE that were used for the coronavirus cleanup using an EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectant.
Per the CDC, Cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched objects and surfaces are the recommended actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory diseases, like coronavirus. Since any surface can be re-contaminated after cleaning, and because the coronavirus is also spread person-to-person, PuroClean’s services are not guaranteed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) for more information regarding coronavirus, its spread, and prevention.
