PuroClean of Everett Donates to Hand in Hand Kids

In The Community

PuroClean believes in helping our community. On August 28th, we were very proud to donate a truckload of items to Hand in Hand, a local non-profit organization. We collected these items throughout the month of August from local community members.

Giving Back to the Community

Our marketing specialist, Melissa, was inspired in July. She wanted to create an event in which PuroClean could give back, while also involving other small business owners. As a marketer, she has built numerous relationships with key members in her community.

Craig Hawkins, owner of PuroClean of Everett, granted the marketing team the wonderful opportunity to choose a local non-profit organization to work with, and they chose Hand in Hand Kids in Everett, WA. This non-profit helps families and children in crisis through their Outreach Program and newly developed Foster Support Service.

Terry Lott, the Outreach Coordinator at Hand in Hand, became a primary contact for PuroClean during this event. He created a flyer to be shared among Melissa’s contacts. That list included insurance agents in her territory, as well as peers from her networking groups such as BNI and local Chambers of Commerce.

In just a 3-week span, PuroClean was able to collect a myriad of items. This ranged from brand new school supplies to new clothes and even hygiene products. When Melissa asked what the organization really needed, the answer was diapers. So, PuroClean donated 2 carts full of diapers without a second thought. Also, the volunteers commented that this donation was one of the largest they had seen this year!

“I just wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart! You and your company are amazing! Once I got back to the office, I was stunned to see how much you guys collected in such a short amount of time. Again, thank you so much.”
