We recently received a call from a client because they had used an out-of-town mitigation company to remediate the damage from the massive winter freeze during the early parts of 2021. This company had left a mess in the client’s home with debris and garbage everywhere. PuroClean holds itself to the highest standards of quality and professionalism. The winter storm of 2021 brought unprecedented weather to Texas, and it left our communities dealing with issues we had not anticipated. Freezing temperatures turned our usually mild state into a hotbed for frozen pipes and water damage. In their time of need, people would turn to whoever was available to help, and in some cases, those decisions led to more problems.

As we mentioned, our client had used an out-of-town restoration company, but they had left the house in poor condition. We were tasked with evaluating all of the client’s home contents and moving them off-site.

With this in mind and knowing the client’s previous unpleasant experience with a restoration company, we decided to go above and beyond. We took it upon ourselves to dispose of all the trash that the original mitigation company left behind. Furthermore, we cleaned all of the furniture, protected it, moved it, and stored it for the customer.  

This job was not typical, as we did not have to take the lead with the restoration. The previous company had already taken care of the water damage, but the remnants of an unfinished job were everywhere. At PuroClean, customer satisfaction is our priority, and we were pleased to help turn this otherwise stressful situation into a more manageable one for the client.
