“I never forgot about you. Ever.” We may not be Steve from Blues Clues, but we feel the same way about our clients. Each job is a special connection made within our community, and many of our clients remain in contact with us even after the job is complete. As much as we love our clients, we hope (for their own sake) they’ll never have to call us for service again. But sometimes, we are called back to handle new problems that arise, and just like Steve, we’re always prepared to step back in and help.
Routine Mold Job Becomes Year-Long Battle
A year ago, in September 2020, an operations manager for a local company in Kaneohe called us to handle a mold problem. Our management team initially went to complete a walk-through and assess the situation; we contained the problem area, and an industrial hygienist was brought in to collect samples for testing. The results eventually came back, revealing mold growth in the area. Our team immediately set to work, removing affected cabinets and drywall. They then cleaned and sprayed an anti-microbial agent to prevent further growth. The mold remediation took about two weeks, and everyone was happy with the results, which passed additional testing upon completion of the job.
Unfortunately, the client called us again in February of this year. They found more microbial growth and wanted us to have the entire building tested and treated. We teamed up with another local company to complete the testing, and we set up equipment to help keep the humidity down. As mold requires moisture, we wanted to quell anything that could encourage more growth.
We initially dropped off our equipment on February 23, 2021, and are continuing to work with the business, to this day. We won’t quit until we can guarantee their building is safe. We’ll continue to send crews twice a week to check on the equipment and the situation in the building. Although we don’t like that our clients are dealing with this situation, we’ll be there to support them and help them until this tricky mold problem is fixed for good.
