Trauma Scene Cleanup Involves Biohazard Crew, Care, and Compassion

Biohazard Clean Up

Trauma scene cleanup crews are responsible for some of the most difficult and heartbreaking work in the restoration industry. They are called to dispose of biohazard waste, remove all contents from a trauma scene, and clean up any damage that may have occurred. It’s not easy work by any means, but it’s necessary. Our team is trained to handle trauma scene cleanup, easing the burden from those impacted by the tragedy.

Biohazard Cleanup at Scene of Unattended Body

In mid-September, a local property manager called about an unattended body that had been found in one of his units. The tenant passed away a few days before he was discovered and decomposition had already begun. At this point, the police had finished their work and the body had been relocated. Our crew was needed to clean the biohazard waste left in the apartment.

The property manager wanted our crew to get started quickly. He called in the afternoon, and our crew made it a priority to get over right away, suit up, and begin work. Our technicians carefully removed the contents of the unit. They then thoroughly cleaned the room. The work was completed in one day, however, we left equipment overnight to eliminate the odor.

We understand what a difficult time this was for all involved, and we approach all trauma scene cleanups with empathy and compassion. We kept the property manager informed throughout our work, and he was happy with our communication and efficiency in completing the job.
