PuroClean of Lafayette Hosted Continuing Education Courses for Insurance Agents

When a holiday and a learning event collide, it’s fun for everyone! In late April, we hosted two Cinco-de-Mayo-themed Continuing Education (CE) courses for insurance agents at The Stables Event Center in Lafayette. Property damage restoration extraordinaire Becky Edgren was our instructor for the following classes: Fire Damage (morning session) and Basics in Biohazard Remediation (afternoon session).

The first course, Fire Damage, encompassed the basics of fire damage restoration and included topics such as understanding the different types of fires, assessing the extent of smoke and soot damage, working with insurance companies, and prioritizing fast customer service.

In the afternoon, Basics in Biohazard Remediation covered ways to properly clean, sanitize and remove biohazard contaminants from residential and commercial properties. The class also reviewed using specialized PPE (personal protective equipment) when handling hazardous materials.

In keeping true to the Cinco de Mayo spirit, our vendor partner, CRDN of Northern Indiana, and host, The Stables Event Center, provided attendees with a complimentary breakfast and lunch taco bar. The latter was a big hit with everyone!

As if that weren’t enough, we distributed goodies to our gift basket lottery winners. Congratulations to the following people: Paige Zollman (Conrad Agency), Mike Shelton (Mike Shelton State Farm), and Jennifer Wallace (EPIC Insurance Brokers). Kudos to you all!
