I write this first blog as 2020 comes to a close, and we look forward to the New Year.
We started this company because we wanted to use our skills and knowledge to help people. No one should be in the restoration industry who does not have a drive and a love to serve and help people who have property damage and need assistance immediately. Outside of human relationships, a person’s greatest possession is their home.
When we show up on the doorstep for the first time, it’s not a good day for the homeowner. We know this. That’s why we not only focus on being competent in the technical work needed to restore the home, but we also emphasize customer service, caring, and communication. We work overtime to make sure we are as up to date on the science of our work. Our mission is to “Leverage technology to reduce cost and disruption.” We are passionate about this.
Considering the events of 2020, and looking back on why we started PuroClean Northwest, we believe we were uniquely positioned and equipped to make a very positive impact on our community.
With my own background as a licensed mechanical engineer and being a degreed Chemical Technologist with six years of industrial chemical laboratory experience, I knew what would work against this virus. We developed and implemented a multi-part COVID deep cleaning process that we used on a hundred jobs across the Puget Sound region in 2020. We worked evenings, weekends and often did back-to-back assignments to keep small and large businesses open.
When COVID broke out, we had an answer. When basements were flooded, we had an answer. When toilets backed up, when fires and smoke damage occurred, when mold was discovered, and even when there were discovered deaths or suicide, we arrived with the tools, knowledge, and compassion needed to reduce the stress and bring a calming influence the people we work for.
Our business is about people. This is our culture, shared by all of us on the PuroClean Northwest team. We hope you never have to see us on your front porch but know this – if you ever have property damage, we are going to treat you, and your home with deep respect, compassion and we’ll solve the issue. We always have, and we always will.
