Spring has arrived, and we are loving the sunshine and longer days!  While you are doing your spring cleaning, it is important to look for any signs of mold growth.  Mold usually grows in areas where there is a lot of moisture.  Mold can lead to respiratory issues if not taken care of promptly. Act promptly.  If you suspect mold growth, you need to address the issue immediately.  Call a professional mold remediation company to remove the mold.

Do not use bleach.  Many people think that bleach will kill mold. It kills live mold; however, it does not kill the mold spores, and the mold could in fact grow back quicker when using bleach.

Use caution.  Mold can be very damaging to your health.  Be sure to wear gloves, safety goggles, and a mask when treating mold.

Fix the source of the moisture.  It is particularly important to find out what is causing high moisture levels in your home so you can prevent mold growth in the future.
