Water, Fire, Mold Damage Lead Technician Job Overview:
The primary job of the Lead Technician is to manage disaster response and/or crisis management activities for water mitigation, fire restoration, mold remediation, and bio-hazard clean-up. They meet with customers and walk them through the process, assess the scope of work as well as supervise, develop, and mentor other technicians working on the job.
Must have own transportation to get to work
Water, Fire, Mold Damage Lead Technician Essential Job Functions:
1. Communicate the process to the customer and provide daily updates to insurance partners and centers of influence.
2. Assess and evaluate job severity and extent of damages.
3. Understand and promote the operational systems used by the company:
4. Be able to train new employees on the specific responsibilities for Technicians
5. Maintaining a professional, positive attitude and appearance at all times.
Water, Fire, Mold Damage Lead Technician Specific Responsibilities:
1. Adhere to all OSHA and company safety procedures and standards.
2. Understanding and adhering to the following restoration procedures:
a. Water Damage Restoration Procedures
b. Mold Remediation Equipment and Procedures
c. Fire and Smoke Cleaning Tools and Procedures
d. Carpet Cleaning Equipment and Procedures
3. Demonstrating a “can do” attitude at all times as a team player and completing all necessary paperwork
4. Maintaining all equipment and vehicles at a clean and serviceable level; at all times.
5. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to complete emergency jobs
Water, Fire, Mold Damage Lead Technician Physical Requirements:
1. Valid Driver’s License and ability to drive company vehicles.
2. Able to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 75 pounds.
3. Able to work for extended time periods in large and confined spaces.
4. Able to work for extended periods of time with appropriate respirator equipment.
Water, Fire, Mold Damage Lead Technician Benefits/Perks:
$18-22/hr depending on experience
