Puroclean of Northridge is seeking Restoration Technician (Tech) for Water Damage, Fire Damage and Mold Remediation.  The Tech is responsible to perform demolition and other construction tasks. In addition, he or she is responsible to follow company policies and ensure work is done according to industry standards.

DRIVER LICENSE IS REQUIRED

Job Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record is required.
  • 1+ years prior experience working in the water damage industry or closely-related field
  • Willing to work a 24/7 rotating on-call schedule, as needed.
  • Some night and weekend work
  • Able to lift heavy equipment and or contents (minimum of 30 pounds)
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check with no felony convictions or misdemeanors involving violence or theft.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening
  • Able to move safely in confined spaces
  • Knowledgeable about safety practices and able to wear personal protective gear correctly

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Execute various restoration projects depending on scope of work (determined by the Project Manager).
  • Responsible for testing and job analysis using the applicable inspection/detection tools such as a hydro sensor, non-intrusive moisture meter, penetrating moisture meter, thermal hygrometer.
  • Take good quality pictures of jobs and work in process.  Maintaining proper daily project documentation.
  • Follow required IICRC standards to ensure proper restoration methods are performed.
  • Place proper equipment and quantity to maximize drying effectiveness.
  • Responsible for the efficient daily monitoring of a job. This includes ensuring all equipment is functioning properly, monitoring psychometrics and sight observations to ensure the correct amount and type of equipment is being utilized, ensure the structure/materials are drying, address safety concerns and utilize the required documents supplied by the company.
  • Ensures proper procedures are followed along with the proper use of PPE.
  • Ensuring the proper documentation process is utilized on all projects.
  • Provide quality customer service to all clients. This includes greeting the client and when necessary, address client’s concerns.
  • Responsible for responding to after-hours emergency calls on rotation.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, co-workers, adjusters, and subcontractors
  • IICRC Certifications, preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player who can easily adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong desire to learn and excel
  • Tech-savvy to document progress notes on app and clock-ins
