The Backstory
On June 21, 2021, the city of Naperville, IL, was struck by an EF-3 tornado. A tornado of this magnitude is intense, with estimated winds of around 158-206 miles per hour.
Our client, an older retired couple, was out of the country when the tornado occurred. When their daughter visited and saw the home severely damaged, she informed the homeowners immediately. Then, she contacted a family friend, co-owner Tim Lohse and requested our services.
A Work in Progress
Upon arrival, our certified PuroClean technicians started the reconstruction process. We immediately boarded the home to prevent further damage.
Then, two weeks later, our team returned to the home to perform water mitigation and contents pack-out services. Contents cleaning and pack-outs is a featured service where we catalog, clean, deodorize, repack, and return your personal belongings to your home safely and efficiently.
During this time, the couple resided in temporary housing. Throughout their time in temporary accommodations, our crew was hard at work on the reconstruction of their home. Due to weather and material delays, the reconstruction process took longer than expected.
Fortunately, the project is almost complete, and we are finishing the couple’s back porch and window treatments this month.
