Our Story at PuroClean of Plymouth Meeting

Plymouth Meeting is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, 28 miles northwest of Philadelphia. In the early 20th century, its industries included agricultural implement works, a canning factory, foundries, and various manufacturing companies. Christian Carpico, PuroClean of Plymouth Meeting owner, says that the area is home to many historic and cultural points of interest including Valley Forge National Historical Park, which was the site of the camp of the Continental Army from 1777-1778. Other historic sites include Morgan Log House and Graeme Park, while historic Philadelphia is just a short drive away. Area businesses consist of leaders in higher education, biotechnology, medicine, and tourism.

Christian says the Plymouth Meeting area is “a great place to live and work,” having four distinct seasons and located within a 90-minute drive of the Pocono Mountains, the Jersey Shore, and New York City.

He also says, “Our area is known to have a high water table as well as numerous creeks and rivers which are susceptible to flooding during storms. Being in the North East we experience a wide range of weather conditions, with the cold leading to frozen pipes and fires in the winter, and the summer heat and humidity leading to the potential for mold.”

Such issues are no surprise to two of our team members. They experienced property damage and are bringing those lessons learned to PuroClean of Plymouth Meeting.

“Vincent had just purchased a home when a big storm hit. His sump pump failed in an unfinished basement which also had wall-to-wall carpet. He had no backup pump so he called a national firm who came out about five hours later.” They removed the water but asked if Vincent could return their equipment!

When Christian’s sewage pump failed and backed up into a finished basement, the technician who arrived came poorly dressed, behaved unprofessionally, and removed material that did not need to be removed to run up the bill.

Because of these experiences, we pledge that our team will look and act very professionally and treat our customers with respect and honesty while we restore their property and lives.
