Giving Back This Thanksgiving

As we gather with family around our dinner tables this year, there is a not-so-fun fact looming over our city: hundreds of thousands of San Diegans face hunger every day while 38% of food produced in the United States goes to waste. We here at PuroClean of Clairemont have always believed in giving back to the community, in more ways than saving homes from nightmare property damage. This Thanksgiving season, we extended our commitment to helping those in need in our community by partnering with Feeding San Diego for a food drive.

Our team was determined to make a difference. Over the course of three weeks, we encouraged our team members to bring in non-perishable items and canned foods for donation. The response was overwhelming and heartwarming. But we didn’t stop there. We went to Costco and Food 4 Less, gathering even more items to add to our donation boxes. The result? A significant contribution of 1,059 lbs of food. It’s a figure that fills us with pride, but more importantly, it represents our collective effort to support those in need.

Taking our initiative a step further, we were granted permission to set up a table outside the local Food 4 Less. This not only gave us the opportunity to collect an additional 76 lbs of food but also allowed us to engage directly with our community. The kindness and generosity we witnessed were truly moving. As Thanksgiving approaches, we at PuroClean of Clairemont urge you to remember the spirit of the season.
