The tenant of a rental home in West Terre Haute called PuroClean after they accidentally set off a small kitchen fire. The blaze wasn’t very large, but it did cause damage that required professional cleanup. The landlord contacted PuroClean and our technicians quickly arrived to assess the extent of the damage and begin cleaning.
Grease fires cause roughly $465 million in property damage annually, according to FEMA. Oil, fat, and grease, all fairly common in kitchens everywhere, are the primary culprits. This fire charred the cabinets and left soot on the walls and ceiling. Our team first started by cleaning the room of any soot ash that remained. We then primed and repainted the walls and ceiling. Also, we removed all of the cabinet doors and brought them into the shop for processing. Then, our technicians repainted the cabinets and sprayed them for a professional finish.
The landlord and tenant were very happy with the quality and speed of our restoration. The tenant also had an adorable (and super helpful) pup who provided key moral support and supervision every day of our job. We truly appreciated him keeping us on track!
