Helping others is just who PuroClean of Warrenton is; it’s part of our DNA. Whether we’re helping a business recover from a major water break, or helping a family rebuild from a devastating fire, we’re passionate about helping others. And this passion goes beyond our business. We extend helping hands into our communities and around the nation.
One of our local outreaches is Fauquier County’s FISH (For Immediate Sympathetic Help), a non-profit organization that provides food to families and individuals in need. The only requirement to receive help from FISH is that you live in Fauquier County, Virginia. FISH serves approximately 375 families who make too much for government assistance but not enough to put food on their table. Through FISH, families are provided with complete meals and given the opportunity to choose their favorites from the food available. Cereal is in big demand for families with small children, and FISH doesn’t always have a variety of choices. PuroClean of Warrenton wanted to add a bit of fun, and hopefully some smiles, to some incredible children.
At the beginning of March, we began a cereal drive for the children of FISH. Those wanting to participate along with PuroClean’s purchase were asked to donate 10.5 oz boxes of Lucky Charms cereal. With the “luck of the Irish” and many generous people, we reached our goal of 375 boxes of this yummy cereal! We have had the opportunity of volunteering at FISH recently, helping box meals for the families they serve each week, and look forward to taking all this cereal to add to their distribution. What a fun way to provide food for some needy families in our community. And from an old Irish saying, “may love and laughter light the days” of these families.
Another outreach project that we’re passionate about is Hope for Appalachia! We have partnered with this non-profit organization who help children and their families who have been affected by family members battling with addiction. Working with the public schools in Kentucky and West Virginia, they provide much needed items to these families in the Appalachian region. Supplies include personal hygiene items, socks, pencils, notebooks, and a few fun surprises that can fit in a shoe box. PuroClean of Warrenton has been a part of this amazing outreach for a few years now along with other sponsoring companies in our community. This past January we were able to pack 600 boxes to give to the children of the Appalachian region, and next year our goal is 1,000 shoeboxes!
PuroClean of Warrenton cares about the community where we are located, and committed to helping our community here at home and around our nation. It’s important for us to give back to the communities where we work and help other communities wherever possible.
