PuroClean Handles Flooded Basement Before Joining The Boys and Girls Club For Their Annual Turkey Trot

We believe in having a strong sense of community and servant leadership. This means we push ourselves to lead by example and do better whenever and wherever the opportunity presents itself. The Boys and Girls Club of America is one of the most important and influential charity organizations in our country. Their mission is “to enable all youth, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens.” At PuroClean of Wilton | Ridgefield, we wanted to show our support to our local chapter of this organization, so we reached out to them about their annual 5k Turkey Trot, which is in it’s 40th edition.

Helping The Best Way We Know How

Our team decided to visit them at their Ridgefield location to discuss the specifics of how we could contribute. We wanted to be a Champion Level sponsor for the event and the goal was to discuss the requirements. But, when we arrived, the person we were supposed to meet with informed us that they were dealing with an issue in their basement.

They informed us that there appeared to be an issue with the hydrostatic pressure and when we heard that, our instincts kicked in. Almost reflexively, we offered to help them fix the issue, free of charge. We still wanted to be a part of the Turkey Trot, but this was a way for us to help the organization by doing what we do best! Driven by our commitment to the values of servant leadership, we wasted no time in setting up drying equipment in the basement. The basement was back in working order within a very short time frame!

We then quickly got back to the Turkey Trot event, which we happily signed up to sponsor. The race will take place on Thanksgiving morning and we are currently building our team of 10 runners who will eagerly represent us during this tremendous community event.

The day after we finished drying their basement, we received an incredibly kind email from the leadership team over at the Boys and Girls Club. They wanted to offer us their most sincere thanks for helping them.
