Meet Fong Cha, Lead Supervisor, PuroClean of Redmond’s Water Division

PuroClean of Redmond only got where we are today due to the dedication of our hardworking crew! So, we feel it’s appropriate to take some time so you can get to know them. We recently interviewed Fong Cha, our Lead Supervisor for the Water Department here at PuroClean of Redmond. He shared with us a little bit about his family, his interests, and more so that we could share it with you.

Interview:

“What is your official title here?”

Fong: Lead Supervisor for the Water Department. I help the other supervisors if they have concerns or dilemmas on the job. I help them get through challenges that they haven’t dealt with before. Since every job we do is different, you have to be a problem solver. Not all homes are built the same, and it is important to understand that. There are some things you can’t learn in training or class; you have to learn in real-world examples.

“How long have you worked for Craig [Hawkins, owner at PuroClean of Redmond]?”

Fong: I have worked with Craig for almost 12 years.

“Tell me about your family.”

Fong: I am a father and a husband. I have 2 daughters, who are 11 and 12. And, I have been married for over 10 years.

“What are some things you like to do?”

Fong: We do a lot of family gatherings. My hobby is cars. I also play video games sometimes!

“Are there any ‘fun facts’ about you that people might not know?”

Fong: I would say if you get on my good side I can be very funny, but if you don’t really know me you will never see that side.

“What would you say is your key to success?”

Fong: It’s very similar to what we go by here at PuroClean with improving quality of life. Integrity, honesty, and organization. My advice to people is to learn to be humble and thankful and be organized and clean. If you go by that, you can get through anything. 

“What would you tell someone who is new to the restoration industry?”

Fong: It’s going to be a hard journey, but it can be very rewarding. You have to be willing to be up for the challenge of 7 days a week, and at the end of the day, we are there to make a living for our families.
